Meet Mathias
It all began on a Christmas morning when I unwrapped a toy piano that would change my life forever. What seemed like a simple gift became the spark that ignited my passion for music. From the very first time I pressed those keys, I felt something powerful—like I had discovered a piece of myself.
Growing up in a Dominican household, merengue was always in the air. My parents filled our home with its rhythms, and at every family party, I would watch the dance floor come alive. The piano’s vibrant, playful melodies hooked me instantly, and I knew I wanted to create that same magic myself.
What began with a toy piano has grown into a journey of composing, performing, and living through merengue. I am here to keep the tradition alive, but also to bring my own sound—fresh, modern, and filled with the same energy that first inspired me as a child.
Now, I am ready to share my music with the world. For me, merengue isn’t just music; it’s passion, it’s joy, it’s who I am.

Todo comenzó una mañana de Navidad cuando abrí un regalo: un piano de juguete que cambiaría mi vida para siempre. Lo que parecía un simple regalo se convirtió en la chispa que encendió mi pasión por la música. Desde la primera vez que toqué esas teclas, sentí algo poderoso, como si hubiera descubierto una parte de mí mismo.
Al crecer en un hogar dominicano, el merengue siempre estaba presente. Mis padres llenaban nuestra casa con sus ritmos, y en cada fiesta familiar, veía cómo la pista de baile alegraba a la gente. Las melodías vibrantes y alegres del piano me cautivaron al instante, y supe que quería crear esa misma magia yo mismo.
Lo que comenzó con un piano de juguete se ha convertido en un viaje de composición, interpretación y vida a través del merengue. Estoy aquí para mantener viva la tradición, pero también para aportar mi propio sonido: fresco, moderno y lleno de la misma energía que me inspiró desde niño.
Ahora, estoy listo para compartir mi música con el mundo. Para mí, el merengue no es solo música; es pasión, es alegría, es quien soy.
